This module also compares and differentiates normal bowel sounds, paralytic ileus, and the ramifications of absent bowel sounds. Abdominal Assessment is a great tool for nurses wishing to gain confidence in their physical assessment skills, or as a refresher course for nurses re-entering the clinical arena.
