Building Patient Rapport discusses communication skills utilized in eliciting information from a patient during the physical assessment interview. This module describes the importance of building rapport with the patient and family members, verbal and non-verbal cues to watch for during the physical assessment interview, and how patient anxiety can skew the assessment results. This course has the goal of facilitating knowledge and confidence in building patient rapport.
